This is the Artist Formerly Known As Seelechen. Wait, actually it's still Seelechen.

Thanks to [personal profile] blnchflr for giving me a dreamwidth invite code! I'm also keeping my livejournal, with some reservations, so hopefully I'll eventually master the cross-post thing.

I've been away for a while. Okay, so that might be an understatement. Long story short, I had a lot of real life issues to sort through, and then a frantically busy period, and that combined with my disatisfaction with the end of Harry Potter canon tipped me into the netherworld of not-being-in-fandom-any-longer.

But I always missed fandom. I missed the generousity, the creativity and the fun. And I particularly missed a lot of the friends I made and used to interact with. So I'm back. I'll be attempting to learn and re-learn how to do various journally things, and hopefully catching up with a few of you over the next little while.

In other news, I made hollandaise sauce successfully for the first time ever this morning. It probably helped that I deigned to follow a recipe this time...

Hi :o) !!

The DW crossposter is awesome!

I have this dream of one day getting around to making bearnaise sauce from scratch - but the powder version is so much easier and tastes fine, *hangs head in shame laziness*.

I lost my internet connection and had to get a new provider, hence the slow reply.

Yes, tarragon! It's such a weird herb, I never use it. But it does taste good in sauces.

I live on my own, too, and simply don't eat sauce unless I'm cooking for others. Unless it's a yoghurt dressing, which I'll then have for three days straight :o9
